Step 1. Preparing Your Home for Installation Day

Next, it’s time to install the indoor air-handling units.
Step 2. Mounting the Indoor Units
Our technicians mount each indoor air handler securely to the designated wall or ceiling location, ensuring it is perfectly level for proper condensate drainage. We then drill a small 3-inch hole behind the unit. This opening is just large enough to pass the necessary refrigerant piping, electrical lines, and drain tubing to the outside.
Step 3. Setting the Outdoor Unit
The outdoor unit is placed flat on a heavy-duty, vibration-absorbing concrete pad or secured to an exterior wall bracket to maximize airflow and keep it elevated safely above any snow accumulation.
Step 4. Precision Line Set Engineering
We always use best practices when installing refrigerant and electrical lines. That includes:
Nitrogen Purging: While brazing copper connections, we continually pass dry nitrogen through the lines. This displaces oxygen and completely prevents interior oxidation (scale), keeping your compressor oil pristine.
Standing Pressure Test: We subject the line sets to a high-pressure nitrogen test to verify there are no microscopic leaks at the joints.
Deep Vacuum Dehydration: Once the line set is leak-free, we pull a deep vacuum measured in microns. This vital process extracts all non-condensable gases and traces of moisture, establishing a completely clean, tight seal.
Follow All Electrical Codes: Our licensed electricians will connect the system to your electrical panel in compliance with all local codes.
Step 5. Your Ductless Mini Split Is Up and Running!
After installing and connecting the system, we turn it on and test it in both heating and cooling modes. We check airflow, temperature, and refrigerant pressure before cleaning the work area.
